An original signed Henry Clive C. 1930 oil on canvas-board illustration painting, presumably of exotic silent movie film star, Anna May Wong. This was likely created for Paramount Film Studios, where the artist was an illustrator for their poster designs and exhibitor books in the early 30s.
We have never been able to locate the publication for which this was used, but the verso has hand written inventory numbers which would seemingly correspond to some print usage designation. The gallery sold this painting in about 2005 and were happy to recently buy it back from our buyer of over a decade ago.
