An unabashedly pure cheesecake situational pin up painting by Harry Ekman likely for The Shaw-Barton Calendar Company of Coshocton, Ohio. In this summertime sizzling scene, a pin up dream–clad only in the skimpiest negligee–finds herself at the fuse-box. The combination of the model’s attempt to keep cool with only a fan and her revealing see through outfit on a hot summer night have proven too much for the circuit breaker to handle, causing the system to blow a proverbial fuse. This style of unapologetic over the top pin up art really resonates with today’s collectors and this is a fresh to the market fabulous example. Ekman studied under Gil Elvgren, and the similarities in style are quite apparent.
