On offer is the final original preliminary pastel by Rolf Armstrong for his late 1950s Brown & Bigelow Calendar Company calendar “Delightful”.  Hand signed by the artist, this pin-up artwork has never been on the market before and for many years was in the South Carolina estate of the model Jewel Flowers. A vibrant, well-rendered pastel that is eminently decorative but also serves as a glimpse into Armstrong’s creative process. Upon close attention, one can see the graphite underlines and spacing blocks utilized to create a well proportioned centered visually pleasing finished calendar. Pastel has been nicely matted and framed and is displayed under UV glass.
