A spectacular example of Earl Moran’s early pin-up pastel illustration work, created for The Brown & Bigelow Calendar Company, and used in a 1930s Richlube Motor Oil advertising calendar with the caption “Smooth”. The images showcases a sublime and sexy red headed flapper girl cutie who appears to have stepped right out of the chorus line of a pre-code Hollywood film title. The Automobilia / Petroliana advertising tie-in and pristine condition only add to the already abundant allure. Pastel is framed in a handsome and likely original gold painted wood frame and is properly lined under UV glass.
