Framed view in period Newcomb-Macklin type art deco frame

A 1940s pin-up oil painting on masonite panel showing an erotically rendered on the wrong end of a situation bathing beauty. A blonde, young heart-breaker is seen blowing up an inner tube while her own pneumatic charms prove too much for her bikini top; focused on her task she seems unfazed by the classic cheesecake “oops” moment. This is a fun and irreverent image by the pin-up artist Winer, a prolific illustrator who freelanced with a number of calendar houses and created numerous covers for various pin-up Men’s magazine titles such as Beauty Parade, Titter, and Wink. Work is unsigned, but we have had occasion to offer several paintings by this illustrator in the past and his style is unique and instantly recognizable. This has all of the artistic charm and personal quirks we love about the artist.
