World War and Hollywood Patriotism

Grapefruit Moon will be listing a collection of World War I and World War II posters, with themes of bond incentives and anti-German sentiment. Americana at its finest, these pieces of propaganda feature images from some of the leading poster designers of the first half of the 20th century and were designed to inspire the patriotic love of country we showcase this month.

Along with decades worth of American lithographs, we are excited to list a large collection of Black and White Hollywood photography. From full-on-glamour portraits of leading ladies to images of the starlets who made the casting couch such a coveted (if perhaps mythological) seat, studio photographers captured the best of this iconic time in American and film history.
