From the post-war men’s magazine market of the early 1950s comes this striking and mesmerizing original gouache on board. Though unsigned, this is attributed to Edward Valigursky, and comes from a collection of works that were used as interior illustrations in early issues of the men’s magazine title Saga. This is a classic men’s magazine image, with pulp fiction working girl heroine who is clearly, as they say, bad news. This is a classic depiction of a noir, bad-girl, femme-fatale.
