One of two oil on canvas paintings available at Grapefruit Moon Gallery by the well-listed artist Joseph Maturo, who is best known for the poster designs he executed as staff illustrator for several of the large Hollywood film companies. The versatile and prolific Maturo was also a frequent cover artist and illustrator for McClure's, Blue Book, People's Home Journal, St. Nicholas and Liberty Magazine. This is an early offering by the artist, featuring a stylish and up to the minute fashion forward Edwardian Maiden with a wide flower plumed straw bonnet.
