Featuring original paintings by Earl Moran, Rolf Armstrong, Arthur Spear and Henry Clive among others. This collection is being offered for sale for the first time, exclusively via this site and new works will be frequently added as acquired. Highlights of the collection include a monumental Rolf Armstrong nude from the mid 1930's, which was among his personal favorites, traveling with him and hanging on his studio walls until his death in Hawaii in the 1960s titled Hollywood Venus .
Finally, we have the largest collection of original Henry Clive illustrations in existence -- including 10 paintings spanning his career from his early days as the main Ziegfield Follies illustrator for Flo Ziegfeld, an original oil painting from his stint as a poster illustrator for Paramount Films in the 1920s, and works from his successful and enduring days as a mainstream American illustrator for Randolph Hearst's American Weekly publication. Prior to this collection being offered there had been fewer than 8 of his other original illustrations known to exist. Rounding out the collection are vintage photographs, prints, and other works on paper, as well as some period decorative arts in ceramic and metal.
